The procedures for post-op nursing of a hamster that had a large subcutaneous tumour excised at Toa Payoh Vets. E-collar over-night does not stop the hamster from biting 3/4 stitches. The wound is cleaned daily and honey and antibiotic powder is applied.

The owner will not be able to do good nursing at home. Hence it is best to be an inpatient for the nurses to do it.
