​Hi Team!


Did you ever find something really confusing and hard to grasp when you went to Nursing school (or if you're in Nursing school right now)?

Well, for me that thing was taking manual blood pressure!

I just couldn't, first of all, wrap my head around what SYSTOLIC and DIASTOLIC even meant and why a too high too low bp was bad and then what I was actually listening for when taking it!

Taking manual blood pressure is a vital basic Nursing skill and one you should learn how to do well!

These days there are a lot of automatic machines but even they can't be trusted all the time! I actually prefer to take all my blood pressures manually, that way I know I'm getting an accurate reading.

I have put together a video on how to take manual blood pressure and then I have put that information to the test and gotten my husband (who is a non-medical person whatsoever) to demonstrate it to me 
