Description from the creator

How to tune your guitar without a tuner? If you can use other instruments or a recording to tune one string, then you can use that string to tune the rest of the strings. Our guitar instructor Brain Smith shows you how to use one string to tune another and what to listen for. For full courses visit libertyparkmusic.com

All of the sudden you find yourself without a tuner--what to do? You can use an excerpt from a recording, such as the opening of "Enter the Sandman" by Metallica, which is a long, sustained low E. Or you can ask a fellow musician to help you tune one string. Then you can use the string to tune the next string, and so on and so forth. When you try to match pitches, listen for the warbling sound; the faster it warbles, the further away two pitches are.
