Description from the creator

Do you have a Medicare Supplement Plan and trying to figure out which Doctors, Hospitals and other Healthcare Providers accept Original Medicare in your area?

There is a very useful tool that we recommend our clients to use located right on the Medicare.gov’s website and it’s called the “Medicare Physician Finder Tool”. In this video, we will give you a step-by-step tutorial on where to go to find this tool, how to use this tool, and how this tool can benefit you when looking up doctors in your area.

This tool is only for Medicare Beneficiaries that have a Medicare Supplement Plan, not for people with Medicare Advantage Plans. It’s important to note that policyholders with a Medigap plan have NO NETWORKS – it does not matter which company you choose; United Healthcare, Bluecross Blueshield, Aetna, Cigna, Mutual of Omaha, New Era or any other company…You can see any doctor that accepts Original Medicare.

Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to use the “Medicare Physician Finder Tool” on Medicare.gov:

1) Go to medicare.gov/
2) Scroll down and click on the binoculars icon that says “Find Care – Search all providers & facilities”
3) Under “I want to find” (in the green text) click on the “Doctors & other health professionals” bullet
4) Then, it will take you to a page where you can enter in your location; enter in your city, state, or zip
5) Next, use the search bar right next to the location field – this is where you can enter anything from a doctors name, a specialty doctor, by a condition, etc.
6) Then, it will populate and list all the different doctor options in your area. Depending on what criteria you typed in, you can have several or hundreds of doctor options.
7) You may utilize the filters at the top of the page to narrow down your search results if you prefer. Some of the filters include the miles radius, doctor gender, certification-type doctors, etc.

There you have it! It’s as simple as those 7 steps mentioned above to find a specific (or generic) doctors or hospitals in your area.
