Description from the creator

Learn how to write a sonnet. Topics include rhyme schemes for Shakespearean and Petrarchan sonnets, iambic pentameter, and the appropriate subject matter for a sonnet. I'm a high school English teacher near Seattle.

And just so you know, all of this content, including my ridiculously bad sample lines, like "Dog, you make me grab your steaming poop / my hand encased in plastic shopping bags," are all copyrighted (believe it or not). Please make up your own; you can definitely do better than cats eating casserole and cake.

Finally, I've made a new video that is ONLY about iambic pentameter, if that's something you need. Here's the URL: youtu.be/cnPbDxWvZ4g
