00:35 Grid lines & Seal (note: my OCS class wanted the seal flushed with the margins, but Army doctrine places the seal in the middle of the margin or centered). View/Gridlines.
00:55 Letterhead (Go to Page Layout, click on the Seal, Wrap Text, Behind Text)
01:42 One inch margins
02:50 Symbol and Date (Date needs to be flushed with the right margin)
03:20 Two spaces after the Symbol
03:25 Subject line

04:33 Subparagraph and indents (the hardest part of writing an Army memo). Tip: do not use MS Word's auto indent feature, but instead do it manually. The first subparagraph needs to be 1/4 inch indent. The second subdivision needs to be 1/2 indent.
07:08 Manually indent IOT get the text from the second line (word wrap) to flush with the left margin.
08:12 Remove Spaces After Paragraph
09:15 Symbol and Subject on the 2nd page
10:59 Two spaces after the subject line
12:50 Authority Line (optional if you are signing on behalf of someone else)
13:20 Signature Block (5 spaces below the last line)
13:52 Align the signature block with the page number (3-1/4 inch on the top margin)
15:20 How to NOT make the page number appear on the 1st page (Footer/Design/Different First Page)
