This is an error I see all the time with Quickbooks Online users. An invoice is created, the customer pays the invoice, but instead of receiving the payment against the invoice, a deposit is made. This ends up doubling your sales.

This video walks through how to fix this error to get your books straight. I also walk through how to best fix this error when it goes back in time quite a ways and you have to clean it up.
