Description from the creator

A few people wanted to see how I clean my shells, so here it is. Cleaning up my 10.557 inch trophy shell I got last week that has a couple of large barnacles on the back. I normally don't put this much effort into a shell, but since this was my first 10 I wanted to make it look good since it's going on my bar.

What I use:
- Variety of wire brushes for removing all the soft growth
- Dental pick/Screwdriver/Etc for cleaning off hard growth like tube worms, coral, etc.
- Muriatic Acid, also known as hydrochloric acid or pool acid.

Sometimes I'll soak the shell in a mild bleach solution, but be careful to not let it sit too long as the bleach will etch the mother of pearl on the inside of the shell.
