How to deal with unaccepting parents | LGBT+

Hia!
So many people, both my age, younger, as well as older, have asked me what to do when your parents don't accept you as transgender or gay (and other LGBT+ identities). This is a really hard question to answer because it is difficult to change a person's view on what is "right" and "wrong". Still, in this video I tried my best to give some tips on how to make things a bit easier. I truly hope it helps some of you out.

Short summarisation:
- Be patient with them.
- Communicate (This is super important!!! Seriously, mine didn't start accepting me before we started discussing it properly.)
- Give them facts (Have them talk to a professional?)
- Family therapy?
- DON'T EVER BLAME YOURSELF! You're doing what you gotta do to stay alive and happy. They're the ones who have to take that step to acceptance and an open mind.
- Internet support groups or ones in your area (Look out for toxic communities!)
- Talk to a friend, relative, your school, child protective services or the police if they kick you out.
- If distancing yourself from them will be beneficial and your safety is in danger, you are COMPLETELY allowed to do that.
- Don't lose hope!
