You don’t need a drill bit to create a pilot hole for screws or nails. Skaie Knox of Home Jelly blog shows you the steps to hack this home project.

Step 1: Grab a nail that is smaller then the screw you need to place into the wall.

Step 2: Nail it into the wall hard enough to make a hole, but make sure not to get the nail stuck.

Step 3: Remove the nail and insert the screw.
