How to Free Up Storage - Instantly

What is going on guys Apple Fox here back again with another video and have you ever felt like you cannot do anything about your full storage? You can’t delete anything because you need it but you also need to free up some storage. Or you can of course buy an iPhone with a bigger storage but hold on because in this video I will be showing you guys how to free up some storage instantly without ever deleting any files. So let’s jump into it.
This trick will work pretty much on every version of iOS. But the condition is that you need to have maximum 2gb of storage available. If you have more free storage this trick will basically not work. I will explain why later in the video.
If you want to check how much storage you have available, you need to head over to settings, general and about and there you will see it. Or just scroll down in general section and tap on storage and iCloud usage. There will be even more detailed information about your actual storage.
So what you need to do at first is to head over to the App Store. Here you just need to search for a very big app. It doesn’t really matter which one it is. It just has to be very large. So large that it has more gigabytes than your available storage. So for example if your available storage is at 1.2 Gb then the application needs to be at least 1.25 Gb.
But I don’t want you to search through the app store trying to find the perfect app. So that’s why I’m giving you these ideas of the apps suitable for this. You can download for example the NOVA 3 game which is actually 1.4gb, Asphalt 8 with more than 1.7gb.
But probably the biggest one has to be one called Hearthstone, this one is just huge. With more 2.3 gb. You don’t need to download these games or use them to free up some storage.
But what you need to do is to click on the get button. So the iPhone will try to download the App but eventually it won’t happen because it’s impossible when you don’t have enough storage available for this.
And guess what happens. As you’re trying to download and install the game in the background there is something else going on. The iPhone just wants clear as much unneeded files as possible in order for this application to be downloaded. It of course fails but still some unneeded files are removed.
So before my storage was 1.2 gb and now as you can see we have 2.9 gb without deleting anything. It’s just this method what caused the increase in the storage. Every devices may get different results depending on how much you use your iPhone meaning how many cached files you have and also it’s different on 16 Gb iphone than on bigger capacities.
You can even repeat the process again and again and you’ll still get a result. Even if it won’t be that big, but still you can repeat it number of times. I would say that the more you do it, the smaller the result gets but that doesn’t mean you cannot do it.
