Suman pinipig with buko and latik Recipe
Ingredients for latik making (Coconut Milk Curd)
3 cups coconut cream
Ingredients for Suman
4 cups thin coconut milk
1/2 kg Green Pinipig (toast for 5 minutes)
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 pinch anise seeds (toast for 2 minutes to bring out aroma)/optional( don’t put too much for mild taste)
2 cups shredded young coconut
Wilted banana leaves for suman wrapping.
Note: I’m using fresh coconut milk here.
