Description from the creator

What is the spark plug firing order?
The firing order is the sequence of power delivery of each cylinder in a multi-cylinder engine. The firing order of an engine is the sequence the spark plugs fire. On engines with a distributor, the firing order is determined by the routing of the spark plug wires from the distributor cap to the spark plugs in each cylinder.

How do you calculate firing order?
Firing Order is determined by the Number of Cylinders and most Multi-Cylinder Engines are of the 4-Stroke Design (UP for Compression of Fuel Mixture; Down under Combustion; Up for Exhaust; Down to complete Cycle) for each cylinder.

How do you know which spark plug wire goes where?
Find the cylinder numbering. Check the firing order by removing the distributor cap and carefully using a finger or compression checker watch for which cylinder is combusting as the distributor arm rotates.
