Description from the creator

This is a main area for mold to grow. When the tape and bed guys spray mud or acoustic on the ceiling they spray it right into the vent box.
If you're building a house, make sure they cover the vent boxes before they spray mud and paint.

For mold to grow, you need 3 things. You need a base that is porous, water, and a mold spore.

Vent boxes usually have all 3. If you can reduce the moisture and dirt in the box you can minimize the mold growth.

I use a strong mixture of Thieves Concentrated Cleaner and water.

I lightly spray the box and then vacuum as much as I can. Once I vacuum, I spray again and scrape out the rest. If it has been painted, it might not come off.

I use only essintial oils to clean out the entire air duct system.
If you have a friend that sales oils support their business and get you a bottle.

If you don't have a place to buy you can purchase from my wife, here.
