Note for Control IQ Users: I typically avoid restarting my sensor because inaccurate dexcom readings (especially due to a restart) may lead to control IQ not being able to work properly.

A note from another user:
If I may offer a few comments to fine tune your process?
I’ve found that it isn’t necessary to wait the 15 minutes after you stop your sensor before you remove it. It is necessary to wait 20-ish minutes before restarting, however.
You don’t need to pry the transmitter out. You just need to release the clips that hold the transmitter to the sensor. When you put the transmitter in, you hear the clicks? Those are what you need to release. They are located just in front of (towards the skinny side of the sensor) from where the sensor normally bends in half.
Pulling up slightly on the transmitter makes the process easier. First time I tried it on the back of my arm I couldn’t do it until I enlisted my wife to help. Two hands makes it easy.
The test strip is thinner than a credit card which may explain why you had some difficulty.
You can restart without the 4-digit code but will have to periodically calibrate.
At the moment, I’m halfway through my second 10-day period and know people that have done 4-6 restarts.
Great video!
