In this video we talk about how to start a subscription based membership site. Like all my videos, this is not just me talking. I've successfully helped build many of these. One of them we built from $0 all the way to $100,000 per month.

The really cool part about subscription based membership sites is the recurring monthly revenue that they offer. When you have this recurring revenue, you can forecast, plan big initiatives, and expect to have a certain amount of cash come into the business each and every month. This is a huge advantage in business. Predictability helps you scale your business to amazing levels.

The 5 steps in this video will show you how to start from scratch a build a subscription based membership site with recurring monthly revenue.

Step 1: Grow an audience, collect emails, build social media following
In order to start a membership site, the first thing you will need is an audience to launch it to. You can grow an audience by building a following on social media, collecting emails, and creating lots of free content. It always pays to put the work in up front and grow an audience to launch to in the long term.
Step 2: Build the membership site
Tools: Clickfunnels, Dropfunnels, Kajabi, etc.
Drip content vs Course
Stripe vs PayPal

Step 2 is when you make all the big decisions around your membership site and actually start building it. You have many different tools to choose from, and options for how you go about serving your content to your members. You will also need to choose a way to accept payments.

Step 3: Start Your Launch Sequence - Product Launch Formula

In step 3, we have to start creating the sales process that will turn your audience members into paid subscription members. This is where you start building the sales copywriting, video creation, and sales pages that will actually sell your subscription to people.

Step 4: Open Cart - Close Cart

In this step, you simply open the cart and start taking orders. You will want to have a window of time in which you accept new subscribers and then close the cart and stop accepting new subscribers. This builds in real urgency and scarcity which will help increase your sales, and makes the sales process a lot easier and more fluid.

Step 5: Analyze, Rinse, and Repeat

Finally, you want to analyze the results from your launch and then decide where to go next. Some people open the cart only one time per year, while on the other side of the spectrum, people leave the cart open at all times and always accept new members. These decisions are yours to make, and can vary depending on what your audience wants and what you want.

The number 1 rule of marketing is to do more of what works, and less of what doesn't work.
