Description from the creator

Do you want to know how to write for television abroad? I, Joy C. Mitchell (Bridgerton, The Letter for the King, Deutschland86), started writing for TV while living abroad in Berlin, and I’ll tell you how I broke into the TV writing business. No matter what anyone tells you, you don’t have to live in LA to become a TV writer or to keep writing for television.

In this video I discuss:
- Moving from LA to Berlin
- Applying for a German Freelance Visa
- The Berlinale film festival
- Meeting showrunner Anna Winger (Unorthodox, Deutschland83)
- the Deutschland86 writers’ room
- Signing with an agency
- Booking jobs
