This beginners Blender CGI tutorial is a response to some emails I got about importing existing 3D models, how to find models to use, and fixing problems. I cover finding and importing a 3DS file for a car, fixing malpositioned parts of it, and adding/editing materials. I light it and put it on a surface to do trial renders. Blender free 3d software - it is surprising what you can do with it. Blender version 2.70 was used for this tutorial. This is a very good tutorial for beginners who want to save themselves months of modelling work like the professionals do!
