How to get your California PSO/PPSO License

ATTENTION! - As of July 1, 2019
The BSIS and the FBI require you to submit your PSO License application BEFORE completing your live scan.

This video explains the process of becoming a legally licensed California PSO Security Guard. The State of California mandates that all in-house guards or bouncers, known as Proprietary Private Security Officers (PSO or PPSO) under the law, complete 16-hours of job specific training as part of their licensing process.

This California PSO (Proprietary Private Security Officer) licensing process is explained in 3-steps by Nightclub Security Consultants' Vice President Manny Marquez.
