How to Make Fake Snow (DIY snow)
By Itty Bitty Family Blog

Welcome back to Itty Bitty Family blog today we will teaching you how to create a fun DIY craft that only takes 2 ingredients and is super quick and easy. Whether you live in California or Alaska you can use this recipe to create fake snow for your children to play with. Please make sure to put this is a container so that it doesn’t get everywhere and cause you a huge headache. Stay tuned as I show you how to make Fake Snow.

Ingredients:
3 cups of corn starch
1 cup of lotion

Directions:
Combine the ingredients together in a bowl, sensory bin, or a container and mix together. ( If you have little helpers I recommend that they use their hands because it is so much more fun.) Mix for 2-3 minutes and then you are finished.

And that is it. Now you have your own DIY Snow. It just takes two ingredients and one easy step. This is fast, fun and super cool to the touch. The ingredients are already in your home and it will let your children of a “snow” filled winter. If you are doing this during the warmer weather than I recommend you place the ingredients in the refrigerator over night so that it has a nice cold feel.

Can my child eat it? NO!! Please do not let your little one eat these recipes because it can make them sick. I recommend doing this activity with children that do not put things in their mouths.

Do I have to bake or Cook it? Nope. These recipes are wonderful and are no cook recipes. They take less than 3 minutes to make and require 3 ingredients or less. Quick and easy.

How do I store this DIY Snow? Like with most doughs I recommend putting this in an air tight container because it will seal in the freshness. None of the ingredients are perishable but to keep the temperature and cold feeling I recommend storing it in the refrigerator especially if you are doing this in the warmer months. You can use a Ziploc bag or container it is your preference.

How long does it last? I recommend tossing it after a week because your little ones get germs all over their hands and can transfer it to the dough or fake snow and it could get them sick in the long run. So to prevent the spread of yucky germs I recommend only keeping it for a week.
