Description from the creator

This video is about how to prepare butternut squash into frozen cubes for later use. These cubes can be added into recipes for added nutrients. Butternut squash is rich in vitamin A and carotenoids, which help increase the immune system function, benefit heart health, and promote healthy skin.

Instructions on How to freeze butternut squash into cubes:
1. Cut the butternut squash in half
2. Scoop out the seeds
a. Place seeds aside if you want to make roasted butternut seeds
This is the recipe I use allrecipes.com/recipe/54873/roasted-winter-squa…
3. Place the 2 halves of butternut squash onto a baking pan, skin side down.
4. Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours or until tender and easily pierced with a fork. (may vary depending on the size of the squash)
5. Scoop out the squash with a spoon.
6. Place scooped out squash in a food processor (I used a Ninja).
7. Add ¼ c of water to the squash
8. Puree the squash until smooth (may need additional water to get smooth consistency).
9. Add the puree to an ice cube tray and freeze
10. Once frozen, pop out the frozen butternut squash cubes and place into a freezer bag.
