Harvest Moon: Magical Melody - Menu/Completion Tutorial
ChannelRayofHope3579Description from the creator
This tutorial is for anyone who...
...does not have the game yet and wants a sneak peek at the features (note that this is the North American GAMECUBE version shown here)
...needs to understand stats and controls
...wants to complete their shipping lists and such by following Winnie's skillz'ed example (I - Amandi - have totally done most of it, too, though...! D=).
A menu video was a request by YoshiNaruto, a request that took me far too long to fulfill. ^^; Sorry about that, but here it is!
"One star takes twelve hours straight of riding!" Shortly after finishing, I realized that the way I phrased that is slightly misleading. You don't need 12 hours IN A ROW. Spreading it out over a few days will still get you the training. Not that that makes it easy! Also, I forgot to say that animal statistics show a crown in their box after they have won a festival (and that raises the selling price), but that might've be obvious.
"Flame Note: Received for attending the Firefly Festival." Umm, yeah, I think it's pretty evident that it meant the FIRE Festival, not Firefly, since the Firefly Festival was for the FIREFLY Note just a few spaces earlier... xD
"Animal Kingdom Note: Received for raising barn animals and a chicken." Uhh, VERY misleading. O_o; I've always despised that one. It's not just SOME animals and A chicken. It's a full, EXPANDED barn (8 animals) and a FULL coop (5 chickens). I hate having so many, so I just sold mine after getting the Note...
I hope I helped at least SOMEONE out there just a little bit... That's all I ever want. ^^ Please feel free to ask me any additional questions (I'd appreciate it if the comment section on THIS VIDEO would grow to be the place for that, instead of randomly scattered throughout other vids) to expand on something that didn't make sense or tell you something you couldn't read.

HM:MM GENERAL MONEY ADVICE
Depending on what you like your routine to be, anything can make you money, as long as you're patient.
There's fishing (especially fishing on the island - befriend the dolphin to 1 heart by giving it your cheapy fish and it'll take you), and before you ship your fish, try sashimi'ing some first with your Knife Set. There are a couple kinds of fish whose prices skyrocket once "cooked," especially Blowfish and Squid.
There's crops - especially the ones that can be harvested several times; those are definitely some good profits.
There's animals - although an investment as big as a barn and coop isn't very reasonable for a beginner, it's something you can start to think about early. Animal products like eggs and milks start a steady income flowing that makes you really feel like you're progressing each day. But also, if you raise and train a horse and win with it in the horse race, that prized pony can sell for 50,000G at the Blue Sky Ranch!
My personal two favorite moneymakers are in the fall and the winter. In fall, try foraging near the end of the right path fork (and forage all the time even higher up on the mountain; different seasonal goodies like herbs and flowers are in much higher supply up there during summer and spring, and those definitely rake in some cash). If you do, you might find a special Blue Mist flower that ships for 500G (and there's a potential of finding as many as one a day!). Even better, once you've befriended Saibara to five hearts and ship 9 or 10 Good Clay, he'll give you a Mixing Pot. If you simply put that blue flower in the Mixing Pot, it'll create a balm that's worth more than twice as much.
Then, in winter, Sunny Lake (the separate reserve area at the far lower-west of the village) will freeze over, allowing you to walk across and discover a "secret" mine called Lake Cave. You'll never want to go to Moonlight Cave again after experiencing its awesomeness. "Rare" Ores are almost as common as junk, and there are several different kinds of rare gems worth far more than anything you normally get at the other mine. If you save up enough food for stamina and work efficiently, you can go there twice a day every day in the winter season and eventually make tens of thousands.
Good luck with everything!
