1) you have to draw the outline of your letters (individual letters)
2) you should make your letter look as if their in 3D, add depth to the letters.
3) draw a crazy outline of the whole word/name. (make something interesting, add : circle, arrows , unique things that make it your own )
4) start filling in all with colour.
5) choose different bright colours so it makes each part stand out !
