How To Get Sick Pivot U-Tilts Using A Condom

This video describes how to modify your controller using a condom to get sick pivot utilts on a gamecube controller.

There are 2 other possible mods that would work well. One that is feasible and the other that is probably too difficult to manufacture.

You can put a thin strip of metal, almost like a paper clip but probably flat and more flexible, like a steel ribbon bent in an upwards curve. This can be adhesively attached above the top notch. The curve should be steep enough so that the stick when rolled along the outer rim will pass underneath it, but when pressed straight up will press up against it giving tilt. Because the metal is flexible in that direction however, it will bend out of the way when pressed up with a little more force allowing for up smashes.

The other way is to have custom made joysticks where the stick that protrudes from the top (that the joystick cap attaches to) also protrudes from the bottom as well. That means if you tilt the stick up for example, the bottom protrusion would tilt in the opposite direction. Then you make the whole joystick box so that it's elevated and "clicks in" like a PS3 controller, but when depressed it is now low enough to allow for the bottom protrusion to be within a second octogonal gate. A smaller restrictor that limits you to tilts. This would be a very clean implementation but would require manufacturing custom joystick assemblies or finding one on the market that satisfies those requirements (idk if that's even a thing already).

Otherwise you'd need a setup where you can use your right index finger for example to operate a ring that exits the back of the controller which operates a slide mechanism that retracts or extends a gate restrictor. This seems more likely than the joystick mod but would require custom plastic fabrication and probably 3d printing.
