all right welcome this video is going to
show you how to set up a minecraft
server for your first time on a Windows
10 computer should take you through all
the steps you should need to know and
should go pretty quick hopefully

here on your Windows computer you're
going to go to the start button well
just go to your browser and type in the
word minecraft once you get there and go
to the minecraft.net official website

logged in you're gonna click on the menu

your downloads folder then you're gonna
open up another one you're gonna Google

with the download free Java software
you'll click that free Java download
agree and start Java download that's
gonna pop up down here as an executable
file you'll double click it you wanna
make changes of course you do
yes one that that's happening we're
gonna minimize this Java install
well that's installing you want to go
ahead and make a folder somewhere I'm
gonna choose the desktop it's just
easier you can make folder wherever you
want this where your minecraft server
will be located so I'm gonna call this
my folder minecraft server call it
whatever you want doesn't matter then
you're gonna open up another folder and
you're gonna find your my downloads or
downloads so currently I have two
downloads the minecraft server and each
office setup
ok the minecraft server you do not want
to double click if you double clicked it
it's gonna open up you don't want it to
do that yet if you did it don't eat it
all redownload it you're gonna click on
it and drag it into the folder you
created where you want your server to be
located the Java setup can stay there
once Java gets to this point it's gonna
recommend that you say Yahoo is your
homepage I don't imagine can't imagine
any reason why anybody why is their
homepage but you can go and click Next
if you want that if you don't want that
but do not update browser settings then
click Next
Java is installing well that's doing
that come down here and you want to go
to your control panel
you open up your control panel may look
like this it may not I don't like this
view so I'm gonna go to the large icon
view in your control panel
under the large icon view is File
Explorer options you need to open up
that I'm gonna go up here click on the
View tab ok then go down here hide
extensions for known file types that
needs to be unchecked has to be
unchecked ok apply okay go ahead and
close that out Java has finished I'll
close that out jobbies gonna pop them in
a web page local is that minecraft
server I'm gonna open up that folder and
then there's Google file you put in
there earlier you're gonna double click
on that it's gonna pop up but it's gonna
open up a few more files in here ok just
