Steps/Detailed Description:
Step 1: Download and install the following files; JRE, JDK, and the Minecraft Server.jar.

Step 2: Make a folder on the desktop for the server name it something simple... such as vanilla. (don't use something with spaces)

Step 3: Open the server.jar once it is in your new folder from step 2.

Step 4: Open the EULA with textedit (or whatever tool you want) and set it to "eula=true" and run the server.jar. Let it populate the folder, then stop the server by typing in "stop" in the GUI window.

Step 5: Open textedit and make a new document, format the document to "make plain text". Paste this command inside "java -Xmx4G -Xms4G -jar server.jar nogui". save it as "launch.command". If you want to dedicate more RAM to the server change the number before the G in the command. -Xmx#G -Xms#G. Just don't do more than half of your RAM!

Step 6: Open the terminal. You will see on the second line that at the end it will say ~ "user"$. The "user" is your current user, this is what you will paste into the commands where I put "user".
For example, in the video mine is: ~ admin$.

Step 7: Type the following command into the terminal.
"cd /Users/"user"/Desktop/"server folder name".

Step 8: Type the following command into the terminal.
"chmod +x launch.command." (you should now be able to run launch.command.)

Step 9: Open "launch.command" with textEdit, and update the command to the following: "java -Xmx4G -Xms4G -jar /Users/"user"/desktop/"server folder name"/server.jar nogui"

Step 10: Type the following commands into the terminal.
1.) "cd ~"
2.)"ls" (That's a lowercase L, look for eula.txt in the list of information, if it is not there you have an error. repeat the steps carefully)
3.)"vim eula.txt"

Step 11: (while eula.txt is open in vim) Hit the "i" key to enter input mode, navigate and change eula.txt to "eula=true". Hit escape to exit input mode. Then hold shift and hit "Z" twice.

Step 12: Launch the server by clicking "launch.command". Congrats, you now have a Minecraft server than you can easily change the dedicated RAM.

Port Forwarding:
Step 1: Open a browser of your choice. Type in: "192.168.1.1" into the URL bar.

Step 2: Sign in.

Step 3: Navigate to Advanced Configuration,

Step 4: Look for Port Forwarding/Port Triggering.

Step 5: Add a service. Select UDP/TCP. Set starting and ending port to "25565". Select the Device that you are using for the IPV6. It will look similar to this: 192.168.1.XX.

Step 6: Save config. Restart Router if required.

Step 7: Launch Server, and test on canyouseeme.org.
