How to properly make/fix/update/verify an SCP: Secret Laboratory Server ( MP2 | 9.1.3 | 2020 )

 Installing Steam CMD 0:14
- Go to developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD
- Click 1.1 Windows
- Click the link in 2. Download SteamCMD for Windows: steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/client/installer/steamc…
- Saved the steamcmd.zip file
- Open the .zip file
- Create a new folder, it doesn't matter what its called.
- Drag steamcmd.exe into the folder
- Open Steamcmd

Installing the Server with Steam CMD 0:34
- Open Steamcmd
- Type "login anonymous"
- Make a new folder for the server directory, it doesn't matter what its called
- Copy the server directory e.g "C:\Users\home\Desktop\server"
- In SteamCMD type force_install_dir (Your directory) e.g "force_install_dir C:\Users\home\Desktop\server"
- In SteamCMD type app_update 996560
- Once its installed type "quit" in SteamCMD

Launching your server 1:14
- Open up your server by opening LocalAdmin.exe
- Type in the port you're using (Most likely 7777)
- To quit the server type "quit" and close out of the program

Fixing + Verifying the server 1:14
- Open up your server by opening LocalAdmin.exe
- Press Windowskey+R
- Type %appdata%
- Go to "SCP Secret Laboratory"
- Go to "config"
- Go to "7777"
- Open "config_gameplay.txt"
- Name the server e.g "server_name: My Server"
- Get your external IPV4 address from whatsmyip.org/
- Copy your ip to the server_ip: e.g "server_ip: mc.shgservers.com"
- Save the document
- Restart your server by typing "quit" in "LocalAdmin.exe"
- Once restarted you'll have to put in your contact email in "config_gameplay.txt"
- In "config_gameplay.txt" put in the email you're going to use for the server e.g "contact_email: [email protected]"
- In "config_gameplay.txt" give your server a unique pastebin ID e.g "serverinfo_pastebin_id: 3C8N1738T631"
Note for pastebin ID (This is your server info)
How do I change server info?

You need to create new pastebin - pastebin.com/
Let’s say the the new pastebin link is - pastebin.com/ABC
Then you need to change config_gameplay.txt variable:
serverinfo_pastebin_id: ABC

 - Save the file
- Email the verification team @ [email protected] with the following info:

YOUR SERVER IP e.g mc.shgservers.com
STATIC OR DYNAMIC IP (Most home addresses are dynamic)
NOTE: Make sure you have a unique pastebin ID otherwise they will email you back telling you to change it. Your server must also be running in order for them to verify it.

Making yourself Owner/Admin for Remoteadmin 3:53
- Open "config_remoteadmin.txt"
- Get your Steam64ID by going to steamid.io/lookup
- Paste your steam 64 id on the line "- SteamId64@steam: owner" e.g "- 76561198053911947@steam: owner"
- Save the document
- Restart the server by typing "quit" in "LocalAdmin.exe"
- To open up remote admin ingame press the "M" key.

Updating the server from 9.0.2 to 9.1.1 4:55
- Make sure all existing processes of your server are closed in the task manager, they will be titled SCPSL.exe
- Open SteamCMD
- Type "login anonymous"
- Copy the server directory e.g "C:\Users\home\Desktop\server"
- In SteamCMD type force_install_dir (Your directory) e.g "force_install_dir C:\Users\home\Desktop\server"
- In SteamCMD type app_update 996560 validate
- Once its installed type "quit" in SteamCMD
- Start up your server and it should be the latest version.

Joining your server
- Open SCP
- Go to join a server
- Direct Connect
- Type in either your external IPV4 address or "localhost"
- For friends to join give them your external ipv4 address e.g "mc.shgservers.com"
