How to Replace Broken 3DS L/R Buttons (Easy Fix)

The Left and Right shoulder buttons break a lot. Having someone repair your console can be really expensive. Here you can see how easy it is to change both buttons in just 10 minutes.

It is very important that you but them WITH the flex cable and connector attached. Don't buy the button without the flex cable because:
-A) Not the button but the connector might be broken
-B) Even if it was the button the one that's broken, you'd need to do very precise welding to fix it.
You can also buy only the L or R button if only one is broken, but i recommend buying both just un case.

Please Note:
Opening your 3DS can be tricky and it might break in the process. If you have no experience dissasembling electronic devices get some help to do it.
Be careful not to build static electricity near the console or you might break it forever. You can buy wristbands that remove static electricity from your body. This isn't necessary if you are careful.
Be very gentle when handling the individual pieces. They are pretty strong but still could break if bent too hard or pushed too strong.
Make sure your screwdriver fits nicely on the screws. If it doesn't, they can break and you won't be able to remove them. (The cross on top can wear off easily if you twist but don't move the screw).
Don't worry if you lose a screw. Your 3DS will still hold together. Don't tighten the screws too hard or you'll make it harder for yourself if you ever need to dissasemble your 3DS again.
