In this video Brad shows the setting up process of an original Microsoft Xbox. This video uses the RCA method of setting up the system.

RCA:
Take the AC adapter and plug it in to the wall. Then take the other end and put it in the back of the Xbox (double-barrel port).
Next, take the RCA cable at the metallic end and plug it into the back of the system.
Finally, put the other end in the scart-RCA adapter, turn on the Xbox, switch to AV1/AV2 and enjoy :D

*Make sure the system is turned on* :D
