Description from the creator

Learn how to test fake SD cards, USB flash drives, and other storage devices using H2testw.

H2testw is a free utility that writes data to a storage device and then verifies it to determine whether the advertised capacity is genuine. This makes it one of the easiest ways to identify counterfeit SD cards, fake USB drives, and storage devices that report more capacity than they actually have.

In this tutorial I'll show you how to use H2testw to:

• Test SD cards for fake capacity
• Verify USB flash drive storage size
• Detect counterfeit storage devices
• Check usable storage space
• Validate memory card integrity
• Identify faulty or defective flash memory

The software works with:

• Micro SD cards
• SD cards
• USB flash drives
• External hard drives
• SSDs
• Other removable storage devices

After the test is complete, the generated files can simply be deleted or the storage device can be reformatted.
