Description from the creator

In the 1.7 update, Minecraft will have the new world generation AMPLIFIED. To change the generation of a world that has already been created, you must edit the world's level.dat folder. To edit the level.dat file you must download a NBT Editor. Find the 'generation type' setting and change 'default' to 'amplified'. Now save the changes. Enter your world and you will have the new amplified generation!
