Rock Band 2 - Basic Guitar Alt-Strumming Tutorial

NOTE: I apologize that not only do I not have the greatest voice in the world, but that the video editing software I used, Pinnacle Studio, sucks beyond recognition and threw the timing of the music off what you see on the screen. I frankly don't think I can do anything about it so please deal with it.

This video is designed to help novice players with alt-strumming, the act of pressing up and down on the guitar tab. This is something I think many players continue to struggle with, even as they improve their skills to pass every song on Expert difficulty. I try to break down the alt-strumming process so that you can take the right approach to strumming properly.

I am not that skilled of a player in real life, but these tips should help some players out there. If someone better than I is saying "You're doing it wrong," or something, then I apologize...but this method has worked for me over months of playing and improving my scores.

This song should also help anyone playing Guitar Hero too...no reason why it shouldn't.
