This video will walk you through the steps of installing Impact for the Official Minecraft Launcher, with or without Optifine. This video specifically covers installing Impact for Minecraft version 1.15.2 using Impact Installer v.0.9.3 but also provides instructions for other Minecraft versions. How to install Impact for Forge 1.12.2:
1) Install Minecraft version 1.12.2. Now make sure the game and launcher are closed.
2) Install Forge for Minecraft 1.12.2. This creates a Forge installation in your Minecraft launcher.
3) Launch the Impact installer.
4) For Install For select Forge Mod
5) There will now be a Save As button at the bottom of the installer, press it. 6) Navigate to .minecraft/mods and click save. If no mods folder exists (likely because you haven't run Forge before) you can create it and save there.
