Autumn lights in the forest watercolor tutorial - Tutorial acquerello luci nel bosco d'autunno

MATERIALS

- Paper: Fabriano Artistico rough, 300 gsm, 100% cotton, natural white
- Colours: primrose yellow ( if you haven't this colour, you can use white gouache and lemon yellow mixed together), lemon yellow, aureolin, gamboge, raw Sienna, burnt Sienna, vermillion, rose madder, cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, viridian, Vandyck brown, sap green.
Brushes: round, n. 10,8,6,4,2 , a n.6 old round brush.

Other materials: water, tissue or kitchen roll.

TECHNIQUE

In this tutorial you will learn how to paint a beautiful forest with a lot of atmosphere and beautiful lights!
The most important thing is to choose the right paper: I used Fabriano rough, if you haven't this one try anouther with a good tooth on surface, so that your dry brush work will be enhanced and the leaves will be easily painted.
The background is painted wet on wet, after the first wash is dry, you will go on painting the trees and the foliage mostly wet on dry, be sure to work on dry washes and if something is still wet, check and stop, let id dry and then go on.
Another important issue is about your brushes: be aware to use a dry one for dry brush work, and check that they all have a good point when painting trees and details.

- Carta : Fabriano artistico 300g/mq, grana grossa, 100% cotone bianco naturale
- Colori : giallo Primrose ( canarino, o primula): se non l'avete, basta mischiare della tempera bianca con del giallo limone, giallo limone, aureolina, gomma gutta, terra di Siena naturale e bruciata, verde smeraldo, verde vescica, rosso vermiglione, lacca di garanza rosa, bruno Vandyck, blu cobalto, blu oltremare.
- Pennelli: tondi, n. 10,8,6,4,2 e un vecchio pennello n.6
Altri materiali: acqua, carta da cucina.

TECNICA

In questo tutorial potrai imparare a dipingere con me questo bellissimo bosco autunnale con tantissima luce! La cosa più importante è usare della carta a grana grossa, che renda più facile il lavoro a pennello asciutto e ci consenta di ottenere più facilmente le masse del fogliame. Se non avete questo tipo di carta, l'importante è che abbia una buona superficie rugosa.
Lo sfondo è dipinto bagnato su bagnato, una volta asciutto si passa alle foglie e agli alberi: va posta massima attenzione al fatto che la parte su cui si va a dipingere sia asciutta: nonostante sia quasi tutto bagnato su asciutto, se una parte è ancora bagnata bisogna aspettare che asciughi prima di aggiungere altre velature.
Ultimo parametro da considerare, la punta dei pennelli che deve essere in buono stato per i dettagli, mentre per il lavoro a pennello asciutto usane uno già logoro o comunque consumato.
