Braided Messy Bun Tutorial
ChannelEffortless BeautyDescription from the creator
Just like you, we absolutely love messy buns! Sometimes it’s great to mix it up and try some variations to keep your messy bun hairstyles cute and trendy. This braided messy bun tutorial is perfect for keeping your hair out of your face for a workout, hiding postpartum hair, and overall being a little bit cuter than all the other messy buns!
P.S. This braided messy bun is a super cute style for fall. We almost named the video "fall messy bun" because it fits this season perfectly.
Here is a written step by step process of how to create my favorite braided messy bun:
• We are going to start by creating a French braid on the top of your head and working it back to create the braided messy bun hairstyle.
• Take a mohawk section of your hair, tie off the rest of your hair, and begin to French braid the mohawk section of your hair. (Remember with a French braid, you add in more hair as you work your hair back into the braid).
• Flip your hair over, to gather it high on your head and create a messy bun, using the back of the braid you created as well as the rest of your hair.
• Pull your hair halfway through the elastic band. Try to keep your braid visible in the messy bun.
• Wrap the remaining portion of the hair around the messy bun and bobby pin the bun to make it look like you want and help it hold in place.
• Gently pull on the sides to loosen your hair and soften the look of your braided messy bun.
