Hair Tutorial: Applying Henna and Indigo to cover gray hair.

This tutorial shows a two-step application of Henna and Indigo to cover gray hair. This technique is easy to do yourself, and fun to do with a friend. For more information, go to

Basic recipe:
Part 1 - 200 grams Henna
Mixed with 2-3 cups lemon juice

Part 2 - 200 grams Henna
2-3 cups Lemon juice for Henna paste
50 grams Indigo and 1 cup water

Let henna paste sit for 24 hours prior to use. Mix up Indigo paste 20 minutes before use. Apply henna paste to hair, cover with shower cap, let sit 1-4 hours, and rinse with a gentle shampoo. Mix indigo paste and henna paste together until completely blended. Apply paste mixture to hair, cover with shower cap, and let sit 1-4 hours. Rinse with warm water. Avoid shampoo immediately after Indigo use to avoid fading.
