How to Act Like You're Dying from Suffocation - CYOA Acting Class

This video will show you how to act like you're dying from suffocation or drowning or lack of air.

These lessons are based on a chapter from Uta Hagen's book "Respect for Acting", which is available here: amzn.to/3jBUVMf

This series focuses on how to perform believable behaviors and conditions. Behaviors include things like yawning, burping, drinking or being drunk. Conditions include situations the character finds themselves in, like having a heart attack, dying, being hot or cold or fatigued. Each of these requires the actor to utilize their own sense memory of these behaviors/conditions or to drum up substitutions for those situations when they haven't experienced a behavior.
