Adding a Friend on Facebook

After you find a friend on Facebook, click Add Friend. If you found the friend in your search results, simply click Add Friend to the right. If you are on the person's page, click Add Friend located to the right of his or her name. 
A dialog box will pop up that allows you to Add to List, Add a personal message, Send Request and Cancel. Adding friends to a list allows you to manage what friends can see certain content from you. Sending a message along with the request is a great way to refresh an old friend's memory. After you send the request, the user can either ignore or accept. You will be notified if the user accepts your friend request in your Notifications tab.
