Description from the creator

Intonation is the internal tuning of a guitar, or in other words the intonation is what makes the frets in tune. On all guitars you will need to have there intonation adjusted at setup or at some point. This video teaches you in very easy steps how to easily set the intonation on your electric guitar.

Sometimes you will find a guitar that goes out of tune as you play the frets further up the neck, so that by the time you play the notes around the 12th fret the guitar is well out of tune. This means the internal tuning or intonation of your guitar is out and needs to be adjusted or setup. But this can easily be corrected by learning how to adjust the intonation of the guitar which can be a setup easily on nearly all electric guitars.
The adjustments are all done from the bridge of the guitar and therefore in this guitar tutorial you will learn how to adjust the guitar saddles. Unfortunately it isn't so easy to setup the intonation on an acoustic guitar and therefore we aren't covering adjusting intonation on acoustic guitars in this tutorial. We are going to look at setting the intonation on various electric guitars, mainly a Fender Strat (Stratocaster) and a Fender Squire Tele (telecaster), however the processes is identical on Gibson's like the Gibson Les Paul or the Gibson SG.

Because the adjustments of an electric guitar saddles are done using a simple screw adjustments, any mistakes you make can be easily undone. Therefore the adjustment of an electric guitar intonation is a relatively easy adjustment to make. By the end of this guitar lesson you should be able easily adjust and setup the intonation on any electric guitar.

This video explains in detail how to adjust the intonation of your guitar so that is stays in tune throughout the neck and sounds in tune all across the neck.
