Description from the creator

RadaCutlery.com - How to Blanch Peaches - How to Peel a Peach- Sometimes peach fuzz is not something you want, especially on your peach. Kristy in the Rada Kitchen demonstrates how to easily peel peaches by blanching them in boiling water for a minute and then dunking them in ice water. The peeling will easily slide off the peach which can then be eaten or used in recipes, like peach pie, peach cobbler or to make peach jam.

Hi, Kristy in the Rada kitchen, and I wanted to show you how to blanch peaches. I was going to make a peach pie and I need to remove the peeling. The first thing you need to do is get a saucepan of water boiling. And then you're going to just make a slight "X" at the bottom of that peach. And we're going to drop it in the boiling water for one minute.

After one minute, remove them with a slotted spoon, like this Rada Cook's Spoon, and then you put them into a bowl of ice water.

So, once your peaches have cooled in the ice water, you can drain them. And then the peeling just peels right off. And with these peaches, I have another video where I make a peach pie. And that's how you blanch peaches.
