Description from the creator

In this video, Maxx shows you how to make a 9 volt battery eliminator using an old phone charger.

If you follow the steps I do, you will be able to power any 9 volt device from an electric outlet and never need batteries again! This can also be done for other battery types, but is a more involved process. Obviously this is meant for stationary electronics and not mobile ones.

If you are not in the United States, then you may have to alter and modify some of things I said in this video to make the concept work, however, if you're smart enough to try it out, I'm sure you can sort the details.

If you have any additional input, feel free to add it in the comments below.

*I am not an electrician (no shit, right?), so there are probably additional things to consider when undertaking a project like this to make sure it all lines up perfect and doesn't damage your electronics you are using it with, or electrocute yourself or start a fire. So, as stated, this is for educational and informational purposes only and should not be attempted or recreated in any way.*

That being said, if you find yourself in the wastelands and have a way to access outlet power through some means, but need to step it down into 9 volts, this is an easy and fast way to do it, and still be able to keep everything in a small compartment for travelling. If you only need it for 1 item, you could skip the connector and hardwire directly into the electronic item as well. As long as you know how many volts the electronics take, just find an adapter/charger that is the same output and wire them up. If you can find a cigarette lighter charger, you could use that as well as long as the output is correct. And if you are ever roaming the wastes after the apocalypse and use this information I've taught you, be sure to... Adventure On!
