Make sure you choose the correct wattage for your solar panel and water pump, example, if your solar panel is 12v DC 50 watts, make sure to choose a water pump that accepts 12v DC, and try to aim for around 20-40 watts as your solar panel will rarely produce 50 watts if its rated 50 watts (even with direct sunlight).
