How to Build a Custom Audio Cable

In this video I demonstrate how I made my own custom stereo audio cable for connecting my Yamaha P-200 Electronic Piano to a standard computer. The keyboard has dual mono quarter inch (1/4") inputs and outputs and the PC has stereo 3.5mm (standard headphone) inputs and outputs. I couldn't find a suitable cable off the shelf that would do what I needed it to do, so I created one myself. I bought the supplies from a local electronics store and soldered everything together at home.

It's unlikely that too many people will need the exact same cable that I built in this video, but many of the same skills and techniques are transferable and should help others create their own custom cables audio/video cables.
