How to Build Simple DIY Closet Shelves (with minimal tools)

Is your closet not working for you?? In this video I document how I created some simple DIY shelves for my closet. The corners of closets can be such a waste of space, so I added some shelves to increase my closet’s storage capacity.

I first measured the width of the space from the back wall to the front wall of my closet. I found some used shelves online for a great price (and they were in great shape). I cut the shelves using my circular saw.

Then I cut the 1"x4" boards to be the supporting boards. I screwed them into the studs on the front and back walls. I used a small torpedo level to make sure they were level.

It's not a masterpiece by any means but it increased my closet storage space and made my closet way more functional.

Closet shelves like this are a great way to improve your closet organization.
