Tell the salesperson what you are willing to buy the ring at and that you will buy it today if he can give you that price. Don't bluff and be willing to walk away if he can't.If he can't give you that price maybe he can still give you a nice discount and that is up to you to decide if it is reasonable or not.

Go in towards the end of the month when the sales person is trying to meet their quota's they will be more willing to negotiate if they have to meet their monthly goals. Remember, the ball is in your court and if all else fails you can go to another merchant or wait a little while. Good luck!
