McShanes Nursery and Landscape Supply speaks about choosing and caring for Christmas trees. Christmas trees.

Hello Steve McShane.. McShanes Landscape and Supply.. Celebrating today, thee greatest of American Holiday Christmas. With the symbol of Christmas, the Christmas tree. Where going to talk about the selection, maintenance and installation of the Christmas tree. Lets start with selection my favorite variety are a Noble fur. This here is the great example this come from grower and farmer Jim Here and Jims a member of the Colishn environmental Christmas tree grower. Wow lets really grab a hold of this tree I mean look at this and when looking for your tree. Really pay attention to their needles are they applicable and how does it smell. Get on inside that thing look for brown or yellowy needles. This one looks terrific! Im always looking for a straight truck as well. Ones the tree comes on the lot or comes to a Nursery. Its got be given a fresh cut. As the grower or ask the lot. They drink a lot of water. Many lots keep their trees in buckets like this one, giving their tree plenty of water. Once youve selected that ideal tree its got the right shape and form and the family loves it. Then you got to think about installation and thats where the stand comes in. Lots of options some of with screws, some of these ones with that may not have the reinforcement. My absolute favorite is the spike stand a lot nurserys and a lot of lots carry theses. This is industrial strength it last decades. The tree is given a drill on the lot up the truck to keep it to keep it absolute straight. Once the tree is placed on the stand. Its really easy to adjust to make sure that that tree stays straight for you. Once you got your tree you got your stand on there. Then we got to think about installation. Moving that tree into your home make sure its not near a furriest or any heat sources. Make sure there not a lot of wind blowing or any kind of a breeze that will dry out the leaves. More then anything water again two gallons a day in a week so get plenty of fresh water in the bowl and sugar in the form of sprite or 7up put a little bit of that in the water that will help the tree tremendously. There are tree products like this preserve here keeps it green. This like the sprite or 7 up add a concentration of sugar and some minerals. Consider perhaps a bag as well. This can fit underneath your skirt and this make for easy recycling. 95% of trees are recycle as a matter of fact and if its not a cut tree your looking for. Consider a living tree California grown I hope. Again apply able needles, a great smell. Just like the cut tree keep it a way from heat sources. Maybe even near a window so, that it stays a little cooler and you be able to plant it as soon as the holiday is over. Christmas is a great tradition and I'm happy to be celebrating it with you. This Christmas holiday think a real farm raised Christmas tree for you and your family.
