How to Choose an Infant Car Seat

Your infant car seat is the most important piece of safety equipment you’ll be purchasing for your newborn, and here at Magic Beans, our highest priority is ensuring that you find the seat that is the perfect fit for your family and your lifestyle. In this video, Eli Gurock, co-owner of Magic Beans , explains some of the factors that will go into your decision.

All infant car seats sold in the US pass stringent safety standards, but we offer a range of seats that give you even more: our favorite seats exceed safety standards and have a plethora of additional features that make them easier to use and to install. You can see some of our top picks in our 5 Most Popular Infant Car Seats video [youtube.com/watch?v=8G4hTPDqHsQ].

Correct installation is ESSENTIAL for your child’s safety on the road, so a seat that’s easy to install is a must, especially if other caregivers will need to install the base on their own without help from a car seat tech. This is why we sell car seats with additional features that simplify installation, ensuring a safer ride and better peace of mind.

We also advise our customers to consider which car seats are compatible with each stroller. This doesn’t mean that you have to buy a stroller and car seat that are the same brand – there are a range of infant car seat adapters that will allow you to snap any number of seats onto any number of strollers, making it so much easier to travel with your baby!
