First and foremost, we do not recommend using harsh cleaning solutions, baby wipes, or rubbing alcohol to clean your blades. These can cause discoloration and/or damage the blade and motor. We also do not recommend using a vacuum cleaner because this can damage the alignment of the fan blades.

Turn off your fan before you begin the process. We also suggest grabbing a step ladder and someone to spot you. We also recommend laying something down to catch all the falling dust.

The pillowcase method is a simple cleaning technique. Slide a pillow case over the fan blade and pull the pillowcase along the blade, leaving all the dust inside the case.

For lighter cleans, use an old sock or a microfiber cloth to wipe along the blade.

Other options are to purchase a fan blade duster, this is a great tool that thoroughly gets all the dust off of your blades. Just remember to avoid putting pressure on the blades.

Repeat one of these methods every 3-4 months.
