How To Clean & Deodorize A Mattress | Clean With Confidence

There is nothing better than a warm peaceful mattress.

Unfortunately, mattresses get dirty and smelly just like anything else in the house. Did you know the human body sweats around a half a pint of liquid every night? Yuck! Your mattress is also a haven for dust mites and different types of bacteria.

In this video, I teach you how to clean and deodorize your mattress in a simple follow along cleaning tutorial!

1. Remove all the sheets and pillows from bed and give it a good vacuuming.

2. Sprinkle baking soda along with 4 to 5 drops of lavender essential oil onto the mattress. Let sit for one or two hours then vacuum it up. The baking soda will eliminate any odors, absorb moisture and the essential oils will give the mattress a nice fragrance. Lavender has been proven to induce better sleep!

3. Flip or turn your mattress twice a year when you clean it.

4. Change your sheets every two weeks. Dirty sheets with attract dust mites and bed bugs just as fast if not faster than an unkept mattress.
