How To Clean Stubborn Stains Off Contact Lenses

How to get stubborn protein, makeup or other deposits off your hard or soft contact lenses, cheaply and easily. Even if protein cleaners have failed, you need to try this method! ps apologies for my nails, I had just finished scrubbing the oven!
UPDATE: lots of questions from non UK peeps so if you can't get the Boots solution try Milton sterilising fluid which is available from supermarkets/pharmacies or Amazon.
The amount of water to use is about 80ml or 1/3 of a cup.

EXTRA UPDATE 2018: I've noticed when using Milton there's a red colour on first use. Don't panic! It didn't stain my gas permeable lenses, but I think the bottle needs a good shake before use as there's some kind of red chemical in there.
